YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Wellington.— Except for a considerable amount of high cloud the weather was line and mild. Tlie minimum temperature during 'l'uesday night was 49.8 deg., and the maximum yesterday was 65.9 deg. The temperature at 3 p.m. was 61.3 deg„ and the barometer reading was 30,006 in. Palmerston North. — Fine after rain overnight but cloudy, with a westerly wind. Masterton.— Fine and sunny with light westerly wind. Wanganui.— Beautifully tine, with a light northerly wind. New Plymouth.— Mainly overcast with passing showers and occasional sunshine; fresh westerly breeze; barometer at 5 p.m., 30.20 in. Waipukurau.— Beautiful sunny day with a maximum temperature of GOdeg. Napier and Hastings.— Another warm, spring-like day, will) a slight clouding over toward evening. North-east breeze. Auckland. —Cloudy with showers in the morning, the wind being fresh from tile south-west. The maximum temperature was Gldcg. Barometric pressure fell steadily, the reading at 5 p.m. being 30.21 in. Christchurch. — Fine and sunny with a light north-east, breeze. The maximum temperature was sSdeg. 'The barometer was steady and registered 30.04 in. at 5 p.m. Dunedin.— Cool in the morning with a light breeze from the south-west. The sky was heavily overcast to the south lint cleared later, and file thermometer rose to G3dcg. 'The barometer fell slightly in the morning, but. was rising at 30.'15iu. this evening.
