OFFICERS ELECTED
Wellington Trades Council
At the annual meeting of the Wellington Trades Council, held last night, the following officers were elected : — President. Mr. F. P. 'Walsh; vice-president, Mr. A, Black; secretary-treasurer, Mr. P. E. 'Warner; committee, Messrs. J. H. Collins, 11. Thompson, A. Parlane, J. Moulton, AV. N. Pharazyn, W. N. Broadley, I’. M. Butler, E. B. Newton. K. Baxter: trustees, Messrs. C. H. Chapman and J. Read; auditors, Messrs. E. Weavers and R. Hoggard: delegate to national executive of the Labour Party, Mr. A. Black.
The annual report stated that at the inaugural meeting, held in July last year, 62 delegates were present, representing 36 unions with a membership of 22.276. At present there were 58 unions with a membership of 33,196.
