Egg Prices Easing Though eggs are by not means plentiful in Wellington the prices are easing, and the following were the levels quoted yesterday :—zV grade, 3/-; B grade, 2/8 ; specials, 3/2. Fruit and vegetable prices remain steady. The banana shipment, which was expected yesterday in the n>arkets, did not arrive until last night from Auckland. Fruit and Vegetables. Apples—Sturm-ers, 3/- to 4/-; Delicious, 2/6 to 4/-; Cox's, 3/- to 6/-; Washington, 4/- to 5/-; Jonathan’s, 2/6 to 4/-; King David, 3/- to 3/6; lemons, 8/- to 13/-; three tomatoes, 4/6 to 6/-; Cape gooseberries, 5/- to 5/9. Vegetables.—Leeks, a dozen bunches, 3/- to 13/-; rhubarb, 6/- to 8/-; carrots, 3/- to 4/-; beetroot, 2/6 to 3/6; silver beet, cases, 2/9 to 3/6; beetroot, 2/- to 2/6; carrots, 3/- to 5/3; spinach, 6/- to 13/6; cauliflowers, 6/6; lettuces, 1/6 to 7/-; parsnips, 3/- to 6/-; leeks, 6/- to 8/9; marrows, 1/9; cabbages, 12/- to 14/3; swedes, 3/- to 3/6; pumpkins, sacks, 3/- to 4/-; swedes, 4/- to 5/-; cabbages, 17/- to 20/-; potatoes, 6/- to 7/-; onions, centals, 9/- to 14/-.
