Palmerston Doctor To Attend

Palmerston North, May 23.

Six months’ leave of absence was granted Mr. D. Mitchell, F.R.C.S., one of the honorary surgeons of Palmerston North Hospital, by the board, which met. to-day, to enable him to attend the Internationa Congress of Surgery which is to be belli this year in Vienna. Mr. Mitchell is a member of the congress, and while lie is away he will study special surgical work in Oslo. He will also visit some leading surgical institutions in England and America. . Board members wished him a successful trip “Ami a safe return, too, judging by the headlines in the papers al. present, ’’ added Mr. A. E. Mansford amid laughter.
