MAORI CONCERT

Lady Pomare’s Ngati Poneke .Maori Choir will present a grand Maori concert in the Town Hall to-morrow night, the proceeds being in aid of the Sir James Carroll Memorial Meeting House at W.airoa. 'Phis club lias made a name for itself by the merits of its past performances and activities over the radio. The public are assured of a varied and interesting programme, and there will be a distinct appeal in the newness of many of the items, which were composed by Mr. King! Tahiwi. sen., who has conducted the choir since its inception. This choir has its taCnt drawn from the length and breadth of New Zealand, and many' tribes are represented among its members. The graceful poi dances, tierce hakas, and rhythmic act ion-songs, e|c., will constitute a wealth of entertainment.
