FOOTBALL ACCIDENT
Man Dies In Hospital By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, April 26. A fatal accident occurred during a practice football game at Ngaruawahia on Saturday. Paul Halbert, farm hand, aged 22, of Taupiri, had his neck fractured and died in the Waikato hospital yesterday. He was playing for Taupiri in a trial game against other Taupiri players. He had possession of the ball and was endeavouring to evade the opposition when he was tackled and fell to the ground with his tackler on top of him. After being attended by a doctor he was sent to hospital. Mr. Halbert, who dime from Wairoa, was a relative of Bishop Bennett
