UNVEILING SERVICE

Memorial Board At Kilbirnie A memorial board was unveiled by Lieutenant James Stellin at the headquarters of the Kilbirnie branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association yesterday. The board which has three names inscribed on it at present, will list the names of members of the Kilbirnie association after their deaths. The service was attended by many of the public as well as the widows and relatives of the men whose names are on the board. The board was designed and made by Mr. F. Dick, a member of the association, and is made in polished rimti. * “As the inevitable occurs to all of us, so our names will be added, but let me pray God that many long years will pass before that will be necessary,” said Mr. Stellin. “6’o the relatives of those who made the

supreme sacrifice and to our comrades who have since departed Anzac r Day must come as a day of sadness. Y’et it must be intermingled with a feeling of pride.” The Rev. AV. Langston, vicar of the Kilbirnie Church, led the prayers at the ceremony and the “Last Post” was sounded by Bandsman Richards. TrumpetMajor F. C. Chegwin played the ‘‘Reveille” at the conclusion of the service.
