AUTUMN FLOWER SHOW
+ Wellington Horticultural x Society The autumn flower show of the Wellington Horticultural Society, to be held in tlie Town Hall to-morrow, will have especially interesting exhibits. For the first time in Wellington, provincial growers will compete in the fruit section tor the Bledisloe Silver Challenge Trtphy awarded for two cases of Jonathan apples, packed as though for export. . An innovation is the suburban society s courts, for which a special prize has been donated. These courts should ' provide some interesting and pleasing exhibits on a large scale. Once again Mrs. Charles Haines s novel stand will be a popular display. Although the exhibits of chrysanthemums, hydrangeas and dahlias take pride of place in an autumn flower show, the vegetable section is an important feature at the last show of the season, and it. is expected that the entries will be well worth inspection. Exhibitors are advised that the lown Hall will not be available for staging purposes to-night and consequently provision is being made for entrance to the hall early to-morrow.
