Simpson, Stratford, has returned to her home at Wellington. Returned Home Mrs. John Cocker, president of the Eltham branch of the W.D.F.U., who has been in Wellington for the Orange Lodge conference, has returned home. ' Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lewis have returned to Alfredton from Hawke’s Bay, where they attended the McHardyBunny wedding. Mrs. J. B. Cotterill has returned to Wanganui after spending a few days in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sinclair, who have been visiting Wellington, spent the week-end at Wanganui before returning to their home in Napier. —— Going Abroad Mrs. Angus Bunting, London, who has been staying with Mrs. Frank Macky, Remuera, Auckland, will leave Wellington by the Tamaroa to-day on her return to England. Miss Marjorie Macfarlane, Auckland, will leave from Wellington to-day by the Tamaroa, en route for England. Mrs. R. S. A. Graham, Hamilton, has arrived at Wellington to join the Port Gisborne for a trip to England. Mrs. H. C. Rutland, Auckland, is visiting Wellington before leaving for a trip abroad. Miss Margaret Leonard, Auckland, will leave from Wellington by the Tamaroa to-day for a trip to England. Kindergarten Cabaret The annual kindergarten cabaret will be held at the Mayfair Cabaret on Thursday next. Arrangements are well in hand, and the evening promises to be a particularly happy one. There are still several bridge tables available, and these should be booked without delay in order to avoid disappointment Tickets for bridge are 3/6 each. Dancing tickets are 5/- each. Those making up parties should ring Mrs. Dowsett, phone 50-275, otherwise cabaret tables will not be reserved. A delicious home-made supper will be served And guests are assured of a delightful evening’s enjoyment. Gift Party At Levin Miss Thelma Bettie, whose marriage to Mr. John Davane, Konini, will take place early next month, was guest of honour recently at a party given by Miss Mickell, at Levin. During the evening, the staff of Clark’s, Ltd., presented her with a handsome crystal fruit stand. Before leaving Levin she was the recipient of a cheque from the management of the firm. Two-Garment Society A reminder is given that the annual distribution of clothes by the Two-Gar ment Society will take place on Friday next. All garments should be ready for the carrier to call for on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Paynton, Mr. D. J. McKenzie and family, Mr. Manners, Messrs. J. and F.
