Final Club Races Of Season
The Paremata Yachting Chib’s racing season for 1937-38 concluded last Sunday. The Easter regatta is yet to come, but after that the boats will be put away until next October. The last races of the season 'were sailed in a very fluky easterly breeze. Uhe Takapuna class contest resolved itself into a battle of tactics between Noleen,Marie and Robin, with Twink well back. Marie won on sailing time, but was not eligible to compete. . Result: Noleen (scr.), 1.38.44, 1, Robin (Jmin.T, 1.39.44- 2; Twink (Jmin.), 1.44.58, 3. Marie .sailed over the course. The iirsj; class and Idle Alougs race again showed Lois to be the best light weather boat; she defeated Dora by a margin of two minutes. Reside: Lois (scr.), 1.20.8, 1; Dora (shuin.), 1.22.32. 2; lanthe (14mm.), 1.42,28, 3. Vanija (3Jmm.) did not finish. ■ , Lois won the chib first class championship; Dora won tlie Idle Along class championship, and Twink the Takapuna
