TIMBER WORKERS’ UNION CONFERENCE

By Telegraph—Press Association.' Rotorua, March 8L The first annual conference of the New Zealhnd Timber Workers’ Union opened at Rotorua to-duy, delegates attending from all parts of the Dominion. Fraternal greetings were dispatched to the International Woodworkers’ Association of America, and to the International Builders’ and Woodworkers' Federation, at Amsterdam. Greetings were also sent to the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, together with an expression of appreciation of industrial legislation placed on the Statute Book by the present Government. A large number of remits will be considered by the conference to-mor-row.
