A WELCOME HOME

Party For Mrs. Puttick Masses of hydrangeas of all hues reflected in a mirror wall, created a charming effect in the lounge of the Hotel Waterloo yesterday, when an afternoon party was given to welcome home Mrs. E. Puttick, who, with her husband, Colonel Puttick, recently returned to Wellington from abroad. The hostesses for the party were Mrs. Alfred Cowles (who was wearing tobacco brown with green accessories), Mrs. W. >S. Stilwell (wearing a mulberry frock trimmed' with satin, with hat and accessories to niatclf), Mrs.’Cecil Dick (in black relieved With gold buttons and a black halo hat with blue and gold trimming), Mrs. W. J. Ross (wearing a black ensemble, with silver fox furs), and Mrs. T. J. King (in a saxe blue frock with plain navy accessories). Mrs. Puttick, who wore a. wineberry accordion pleated frock, with a coatee of. wine lace, and hat to match, was presented with a shoulder-spray. Among those present were:—Mesdames Standish, J.
