Their team has played well during the season and has shown a marked improvement on hist season. Kent Terrace were unlucky to lie defeated in the final by 9-7. and would have been n much harder team hail A'Court been aide to play. Silverstream, started .their run of success late

in .the season. Berhampore and Hutt Railway were always dangerous and played well through the season. In the intermediate, St. Giles won their first league inter-club title. Tins “ team practised hard and improved as the season progressed. Kia Ora were unlucky in the final to lose 9-7 after leading the competition. This chib is young and as the players require confidence they will even improve on the season’s fine performance. Hospital, Kent Terrace and Boulcott were also very successful, and at no time during the competition did the result look certain. The junior grade, consisting of 16 teams, gave a varied'standard of tennis. Most dulis use this grade as a training ground for the higher grades, hence the teams’ personnel changed often. United Recreation were undefeated, followed by Weka and Challenge (1). Weka were defeated by United Recreation, while Challenge 1 were undefeated, having two draws and not meeting flic winners. The inter-dull championships this season created great interest, due to the grading of dubs and making the contests (ill hard. Once again every championship title changed hands.
