BOY FATALLY INJURED
Motor-car Hits Telegraph Pole ACCIDENT AT CAVERSHAM By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, March 27.' A fatal motoring accident occurred on the main south road at Cavershain early on Saturday night, when a motorcar driven by a youth named 1 Laurie Newton crashed into a telegraph pole at the corner of Surrey Street, causing the death of the other occupant of the vehicle, Arthur Cyril Bond, aged 15 years, who resided at Greencliffs, St. Glair.
Bond received severe head injuries, but Newton escaped with little more than shock. Bond was immediately taken to Dunedin Hospital, but died at 8.15 p.m., half an hour after admission. He was an employee of the Reale Ice Cream Company, which was the owner of the car damaged in the accident.

Dunedin, March 27. - The death occurred at Dunediu Hospital at 8 o’clock this morning of Ernest Leslie Davidson Little, who was injured when a motor-car in which he was a passenger crashed into a telegraph pole at Elgin Road at 1.30 o’clock on Friday morning. Deceased was 36 years of age, and resided at 78 Leith Street. He wak employed at Hillside Workshops. Mr. Little was admitted to hospital at 2.45 a.in. on Friday suffering from concussion, and his condition gradually became worse.
MAORI KILLED
Struck By Motor-cycle By Telegraph—Press Association. Tauranga, March 26. A Maori, Ngati Kokiri, single, aged 55, was knocked down by a motorcycle ridden by Arthur Ollivier, of Pcngakawa, while walking home last night to Waitangi settlement, about a mile from Te Puke, and received
severe head injuries from which he died just after the arrival of a doctor. Constable Jackson, of Te Puke, also went to the scene, and he left his ear parked on the roadside witli ail the lights on. It was run into by a motorcycle driven by John Blackmore. Blackmore suffered concussion and was taken to the Te Puke Hospital.
DRIVER INJURED
Midget Racing Cars Collide By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, March 27. As the result of a collision between two midget cars during a race at Western Springs Stadium on Saturday night, the driver of one of the ears, Gerald Aubyn Mathieson, mechanic, married, aged 35, received severe injuries. Both cars rolled over him, fracturing his right leg and right shoulder bone, which was also dislocated, together with his left hip. Mr. Mathieson was taken to Auckland Hospital, his condition to-day after an operation being reported to be not serious.
MOTOR-CYCLE STRIKES TRUCK
Rider Dies Of Injuries By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, March 27. When the handle-bar of a motorcycle struck the front mudguard of a motor-truck in passing on the Main North Highway, a short distance south of Grew Bridge, on Saturday afternoon, the rider was thrown heavily to the road and died from injuries about 20 minutes later. The victim was Gordon Scolly, single, aged 32, of Helensville. Both vehicles were travelling toward Auckland. Mr. Scelly received a broken neck and internal injuries. He was given first aid treatment by the Silverdale district nurse, but he died shortly before the arrival of the ambulance. The motor-cycle was badly, damaged, but there was little damage to the motortruck.
TWO PEOPLE INJURED
Car And Horse Float Collide Dominion Special Service. Hastings, March 27 Two people were, injured when a small sports ear and a horse-float collided at the corner of Bridge Pa and Maraekakalio roads. Hastings, yesterday. The driver of the car, Mr J. Cotterill, Havelock North, was taken to hospital with concussion and an injury to his head, and Mr. Leslie Veal. Poukawa, a passenger on the horsefloat, received injuries to his leg and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the float, Mr. A. K. Robson, farmer, Poukawa, was not injured.
