CZECH GOVERNMENT
Defection Of Catholic Party Prague, March 24. The German Christian Socialist (Roman Catholic) Party, comprising six deputies and three senators, lias announced its defection from the Government, together with the resignation of its Cabinet representative, M. Erwin Zajicek. Thus M, Ludwig Czech is now the only German Minister in the Cabinet.
The Christian Socialists will rqtain their independence as a party, but will co-operate closely with the Henlein
(Nazi) Party. They declare that the situation regarding foreign and home policy demands unified representation on the vital rights of the Sudeten Germans.
The Henlein Party now has 26 supporters in the Senate and 55 deputies, but to offset the danger of the Henlein Party becoming the strongest party, and claiming the speakership, three Czechoslovak groups, namely, the Agrarian, Artisan and Nation-Union Parties, propose to form one Parliamentary group of 74 deputies.
