Inter-Club Eights Regatta CRICKET, TENNIS, GOLF 'l'he outstanding event on to-days outdoor prograuTfne will be the heats and final of the inter-club rowing eights, in which crews from the Petone, Wellington, Star and Victoria University College clubs will compete. Old Boys, at Basin Reserve No. 2; Institute v. Wellington, at Basin Reserve No. 1: Hutt v. Midland, at Hutt; University v. Karori, at Kilbirnie. Tne lower grade championship competitions will also be proceeded with. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League will play a match between teams representing the management committee and the umpires’ association at Athletic Park this afternoon. Play will begin at 2 p.m. Women’s Cricket. The Wellington Women’s Cricket Association will play the following matches to-day :— . 1 Wellington v. Palmerston North, junior representative match, Prince of Wales Park No. 1,.l p.m. Umpires v. Executive, Prince of Wales Park No. 2, 1.30 p.m. Intermediate grade: Hutt v. Y.W.C.A., Emerson Street No. 1; Trinity v. Technical, Emerson Street No. 2. Lawn Tennis. A representative lawn tennis match will be played between teams representing Wairarapa and 'Wellington at Martinborough to-day. The following inter-club games will be played to-day under control of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association : — Senior P> men (final) : Miramar v. Brougham Hill. Second men (final) : Technical v. Newtown. Second women : Wellington v. Island Bay, Wadestown v. Karori, Lyall Bay v. Seatoun, Varsity a bye. Third A men: Hataitai v. Crawford Hill. Third B men: Victoria v. Lyall Bay, Karori v. Talavera. Third B women: Te Rama v. Wellesley, Rosencath v. Victoria. Fourth A: Miramar A v. D.1.C., Talavera v. Trinity. Sunday.—-Third C men : Te Rama v. Broadway. Grade finals will he umpired by the Wellington Lawn Tennis Umpires’ Association.

A match will be played between colts teams representing Wellington and the Hutt Valley to-day on the Lower Hutt courts. Both boys and girls will compete. The boys will commence play at 10 a.m. and the girls will May in the afternoon. The Golfing Ijrogramnie.

Ford, at Polo Ground No. 1, 1.45 p.m., Redfern (B.), Vanston Knock-out Competition.—Todd Hawks (8) v. City Giants B (12), at Polo Ground No. 2, 1.45 p.m., Capes (P.), Lucas (B.) ; Kilbirnie Kubs (12) v. Hutt Tigers A (8), at Polo Ground No. 1, 3.15 p.m., Morris (P.), Lepper (B.) ; Jenkins Gym A v. winners of Todds Hawks and City Giants B, at Polo Ground No. 2, 3.1 a p.m., Doland (P.), Greathead (B.); Central Kiwis, a bye. Rifle Shooting. The local defence rifle clubs will continue their weekly shoots at Trentham this 1 afternoon, when the range will be 500 yards. < , The Petone Rifle Club will fire a further series competition over the 500-yard range, but there will be no shooting iu the morning.
