PAINTINGS AND CAMERA STUDIES

An interesting exhibition of watercolour sketches and modern art in studio photography will be opened by Mrs. Knox Gilmer in the lounge room at Kirkcaldie and Stains on “Wednesday at 3 p.m. The exhibiting artists are Miss Jean Mac Kay, whose characteristic studies in landscape, seascape, and still life are well known to patrons of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts exhibitions; and the Misses Anderson and Atkinson; studio photographers-, who are presenting some fifty studies representative of modern technique in this branch of camera work. .The exhibition will remain open for a fortnight.
