LICENSING CASES

Palmerston North, March 21. Several cases brought under the Licensing Act were dealt with by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court. Palmerston North, to-day. George Qrove, Masonic Hotel, Ashhurst. was fined £5 and costs for selling liquor after hours, and Roy Thomas Miles and Daisy Miles were each fined £1 and costs for being on the premises after hours. Thomas Ormsby, Junction Hotel, Longburn, was fined £5 and costs for selling liquor after hours', and Simon Knocks and Richard Edward McLennan were each fined £2 and costs for being on the premises after hours.
