MAGISTRATES’ COURT
Charged with being on enclosed premises at 134 Taranaki Street, Alfred George Tattle, labourer, 62 was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within two months, by Mr; IV. F. Stilwell, S.M., in tlie Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. Defendant pleaded guilty. He was placed under the control of the Salvation Army. SubInspector A. D. McLean said that Tattle was found asleep on an upper floor of a city council building. lie had been repeatedly charged with this type of offence. A remand for one week was granted in the case of William James Gilbert, motor driver, 26, and Maxwell Joseph Daniell Byford, labourer, 45, who were charged with the theft of £llO/15/- from Lala Kika. Gilbert was also charged with the theft of an apron from Ramji Hansji. Bail was fixed at £lOO, with £lOO surety in each case.
