An interesting feature of the First Battalion Auckland Regiment camp at Hobsonville Air Base over the week-end was tlie fact that the companies did their own catering, and the meals were cooked by one of their officers. Facilities at the camp were used by the territorials. During the camp the trainees were shown over the hangars and machines by instructors from the base, who 'described the functions and peculiarities of various machines.
