TWO TRACK CYCLING TITLES TO ULMER

Wellington Championships MEETING AT PETONE Keen contests were the rule in the Wellington provincial track cycling championships, held on the I’etone Oval on Saturday before a large crowd. A light northerly proved no great hindrance to the riders. The senior championship events were run on the Continental system, the times for the last furlong being taken. The most successful rider was R. Ulmer, the Kmnire Games representative, who -won both the 1000 metres sprint championship and the 1000 metres time trial. Six Nelson riders competed. J. Burns winning the half-mile championship and M. Graham finishing third in that event and first in the mile and a half B grade scratch event.
