the grosgrain-petershams iu coral-red, violet, green and lime. Innumerable bright little bows of green, red, gold, blue are tied on the wide skirt of an Alix dress of black net, mounted on white full muslin flounces. With these romantic close-bodiced, fullskirted frocks, Chanel suggests wearing looped wired bows on the hair, pinned to one side. Black once more makes the chief foundation colour for formal outfits. A close second is bright navy blue. They are worn with a great deal of white for tailor-mades, and contrasting colours and fabrics for summer evening frocks.
