LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Island Bay-Berhampore Branch The Island Bay-Berhampore branch of the League of Mothers’ held its first meeting for the year at the Masonic Hall recently. Mrs. F. Janson presided, there being a large attendance. Mrs. Davison took over her new duties a s secretary, and Mrs. Cook played incidental music. Before the meeting commenced, an induction service was held, several new members being admitted. The president welcomed back Mrs. Hindmarsh, the former president, who has been on a trip to England. Two very charming songs were rendered by Mrs. Tlrrett, which were appreciated by all members. Miss Marion Todd gave one of her popular demonstrations on how to keep fit, illustrating her talk with exercises, which were followed with interest by everyone. A very pleasant afternoon was brought to a close with the serving of afternoon tea.
