Motion For New Trial By Tplojrraph • Ptpss Association Invercargill, February 24 A motion for a new trial in tin? slander action between two insurance companies heard in the Supreme Court last week has been filed by the defendant company, the Australian Mutual Provident Society. The grounds for the application are that the verdict was against the weight of evidence and that the damages awarded were excessive. The motion will be called at the Supreme Court on Monday.
