The D.H. Comet' monoplane being christened "Australian Anniversary" before setting out on the attempt on the England-New Zealand record. The attempt ended after a landing accident at Cyprus. From left Lady Wiegall (who christened the plane), Mr. S. M. Bruce, Mrs. Clouston, Mr. Victor Ricketts and Flying Officer A. E. Clouston. Flying Officer Clouston has stated that a further attempt will be made when the aeroplane has been repaired.
