I think bicycles are a\yful things. If they would Only stand upThey won’t, though. They fall and take me with them. If only I had half-a-dozen hands aud three or four pairs of feet, I am sure I would get ou much better. I, too, have lots of pen-friends. I have about 25 altogether, in Australia, America. England, Prince Edward Island, Bermuda and Canada. Some day I would love to travel to all those countries, but if I cannot, writing to girls and boys in those countries is the next best thing. It is very interesting, too. I exchange photos, postcards and stamps with my correspondents, and newspapers, which interest them a lot. and give them a better idea of our for they know so little of it. One girl asked me if I often went to Australia. Another asked a cousin of mine if Christmas Day was held ou December 25 here, as that was the date of it in America. Another said she always thought New Zealand was a tiny little island covered in snow all the year round.— Peter (15), Havelock North.
