It is stated by the paper “Nichlnichl Shimbun” that the Chinese Premier, Dr. Kung, is using Madame Chiang Kai-shek in the preliminary overtures. The paper expects the new British Ambassador to bring a formula to save China's face, while recognising Japan’s position in the Far East. (This story is not received from any British source.)
