Salesman Found Guilty
REMANDED FOR SENTENCE
A verdiet of guilty on all counts was returned by the jury in the Su.pren u Coui t, Wellington, yesterday, against lißnnatn Noeb Blake Marshall, salesman, aged 3c who had been indicted on eight cbur»es of forgery and uttering talse document-, and eight charges of obtaining cheques by false pretences. He was remanded sentence. • . f The prosecution arose from a m motor-car transactions conducted by .ua shall as secretary and director ot national Motors, Limited. The trial, which was presided oi er by Mr. Justice Blair, occupied five days, me jury were out 49 minutes. “I am sorry, Mr. foreman and gentlemen of the jury, that your labours in thia ease were so prolonged,” said his Honoui after the verdict had been announced, i am very grateful to you for the attention you paid throughout the trial. You have had more than your fair share of jury work this session, and I propose to exempt each of you from further service tins year.”
