A charge of unlawfully using an instrument on December 10 with intent to procure miscarriage was preferred in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday before Mr. W. F. Stilwell. S.M., .against Otto Robert Lehman, chemist, aged 50 (Mr. A. B. Sievwright). Detec-tive-Sergeant P. Doyle said accused had been arrested the previous day by Detective Tripney and Constable Thompson and he asked for a remand. for. a week. The remand was granted, bail being fixed at £lOO and one surety of £lOO, conditional on accused reporting daily to the police.
