Mr. G. D. Lishman, London representative of the New Zealand Government Tourist Department, will arrive by tlie Tainui on February 28 on two months’ furlough. He will travel through both islands before returning to London. Mr. Lishman is responsible for arranging tours of notable visitors to the Dominion. Mr. "F. M. Kennedy, who has been general manager of the Gisborne Gas Company’s works for the past three years, has "been appointed general manager of tlie New Plymouth Gas Combpanv. Mr. Kennedy is a son of Mr M. .1. Kennedy,-general manager of the Wellington Gas Company. He will take up his new duties at the beginning of April.
