Meeting Of Management Committee At last night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Mercantile Cricket League, it was decided not to play any fixtures on Saturday, February 19, the date of the WellingtonAuckland Plunket Shield match. There were present Alessrs. J. J. Furlong (chairman), A. A. Jennings, J. Young. G. L. Morison, E. R. Alartin, S. R. Martin, E. F. Casey, W. R. King, D. Calcinai (umpires’ representative) and G. P. Aldridge (secretary). The Auckland Cricket Association wrote expressing appreciation of the hospitality extended by the league to the Auckland junior representatives, and stating that efforts would be made to arrange similar games in the future. .1. H. Potier was granted a transfer from Celtic to Taubmans, subject to certain conditions being complied with. An application by the Jaseo club for the re-registration of P. J. Stone was granted. It was decided to ask the Wellington Cricket. Association to forward the name of the Alercantile League player who was stated to have plnyed for an association team under an assumed name.
