AIRMAN’S DEATH
Collapse After Landing By Parachute (Received January 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 27. Saved by his parachute from hurtling to earth from a crashing aeroplane near Boston, Lincolnshire, an Air Force pilot, Mr. A. N. MacFarlane, after floating four miles, landed safely but collapsed and died after walking a few steps. Possibly he was hit by the plane as he dived for his life.
