LABOUR HOLDS SEAT
Farnworth By-election London, January 27. The Farnworth by-election, a result of the death of the Labour member, Mr. Guy Rowson, resulted iu the return of Mr. G. Tomlinson (Labour), witli 24,298 votes. Mr. 11. F. Ryan (Conservative) polled 16,835 votes. ;;
At the general election the voting was: Guy Rowson (Labour), 22,040; E. G, Unsworth (Conservative), 16,839; J. M. Erskino (Independent), 3763.
