NIAGARA ICE JAM
Great Damage Feared (Received January 29,12.20 a.in.) Vancouver, January 27. Concerning the Niagara ice jam, great fear is felt that the on-pressing ice-stream, with the fallen bridge acting as a dam to impound a great bulk of ice and water, may crush the powerhouse on the American side of the falls, two bridges downstream, and other edifices, thus causing inestimable damage.
