Big 1 Favourable Balance Washington, January 26. With a favourable trade balance of 262,000,000 dollars, the United States in 1937 consolidated its position as the world’s leading exporter. The trade figures were:—lmports, 3,084,000,000 dollars, a gain of 661,000,000 dollars on 1936; exports, 3,346,000,000 dollars, a gain of 890,000,000 on the previous year.
