EARTHQUAKE LOANS

Procedure For Conference With Mr. Nash Dominion Special Service. Napier, January 27. The coming viist of the Minister of Finance, Hon. W. Nash, to Hawke’s Bay to discuss earthquake rehabilitation loans with representatives of Hike’s Bay local bodies, will be the first official visit the Minister has paid to the district. He will be given a civic welcome on Monday morning by the mayor of Napier, Mr. C. O. Morse. The procedure for the conference with representatives of local bodies has' been adopted. The case for all the local bodies concerned will be presented by the mayor of Hastings, Mr. G. A. Mad’dison. Following Mr. Maddison’s presentation, the case of representatives of other local bodies will be given an opportunity to supplement his remarks. The conference will be presided over by the mayor of Napier, Mr. C. O. Morse.

Mr. Nash is expected to leave for the East Coast on Monday afternoon.
