Ancient Order Of Foresters At the first meeting of the new year of Court Sir George Grey, Ancient Order oi Foresters P.C.R. Bro. R. C. Burnette prettied over a large attendance of members. The election of officers for the ensuing six months resulted as follows: C. Bro. R. C. Burnette; S.C.R-, Bro. K. A. J. Bendall: J.W., Bro. G. Moller; S.W., Bro. T. Hemingway; 5.8., Bro. W. Honsar; J. 8., Bro. N. G. Gouldie; S.V., Bro. T. R. Key : S.S., Bro. T. Hemingway; M.S., Bro. W. V 7. C. F. Sanvig. secretary, Bro. J. J. Kean : treasurer, Bro A. T. Burnette; publicity officer, Bro.’ A. T. Burnette. The officers were installed in their respective places by P.C.R. Bro. T. Westwood. Bro. A. bMoulynox, court trustee, who had been on a visit to Gisborne, during the holiday period, conveyed fraternal greetings from Court Gladstone. Independent Oriler of Oddfellows. The fifteenth annual picnic of 'Wellington District Independent Order of Odd Fellows was held at Hutt. Park on Saturday. The committee consisted of Bros. E.‘D. Wallis, D.D.G.M.; G. F. Ruokin, D. ; and delegates from each l° d S<y there being present Bros. A. J. Bargn, G.L.Rep.; R. J- Mathers, G.L.Rep.; B. W. Churchill, G.L.Rep.; Sisters N. Tor-, kington. L.D.D.G.M., M. Sergent. L.D - D.G.M.; members of Victoria No. 2, Esther No. 30, Rose of Wellington No. ?,S. Rahiri No. 49. Ngaio 'No. 85 and Hiwn No. 87 Rebekah Lodges, Southern Cross No. 24, Zealandia No. 48. Cleve; land No. 13. Wildey No. 107, Miiraenni No. 124. Onslow No. 128. Kupe No. 14J and Pride of Karori No. 156 Bodges, families and friends. The children were well entered for with cordials, ice-cream. lollies and games'. The Rebekah Championship Cup was won by Sister J. Guyton. ' ictoria Lodge No. 2. the subordinate championship cup by Bro. R. Sergent. Maraenui Lodge No. 124. the Rebekah relay baton bv Victoria Lodge -No. 2 team, the subordinate relay baton by !M>uU»ern Cross Lodge No. 24 team, the RebeLan tug-of-war shield by Hiwn Lodge No. 87 team, and the subordinate tug-of-war shield by Southern Cross 24 tC ßrv. Wiekens, most noble grand, presided over the fortnightly meeting ot Loyal Kilbirnie Lodge, Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, belli recently. Bro. Merrett was appointed to the position of elective secretary, whicn was rendered vacant owing to the removal of a member from the district.
