Maintenance work approved by the Wellington Education Board at its meeting yesterday Included the following:— Clyde Quay.—Additional concrete work at parapets. Eastern Hutt.—Extension of concrete area. The Education Department forwarded approval of grants for the following :~ Newtown School.—Rebuilding. Seddon. —Detached open air classroom, out-office accommodation. and shelter shed. Linkwater. —Five-roomed residence. Ohiro Bay.—Additional accommodation. The board has accepted tenders for the following works: — Silverstream. —Exterior painting. Berhampore.—lnterior painting main and infant school. Waiwhetu.—lnterior painting. Carterton District High School. —Reconditioning furniture.
