Operations 'are now in the southern shoot. The average assay value from 462 ft. to 474 ft. was 17dwt. a ton over a width of 57in. From 474 ft. to ■lB6ft. low values were encountered, and from -486 ft. to 503 ft. the assay value was 23dwt. a ton over a width of 60in. The development proves the downward continuance of the values disclosed at the 120 ft. level, and will augment the existing ore reserves. Reviewing operations at the annual meeting in December, the chairman of directors, Mr. P. F. Cody, emphasised that it was the intention of the board to proceed with work at the 224 ft. level as rapidly as possible. Connections would be made by winzes and rises with the 120 ft. level.
