Anniversary Day Regatta INTER-CLUB TENNIS The principal event on to-day’s outdoor programme will be the Anniversary Day yachting regatta, which will be conducted this year by the Heretaunga Boating Club at Petone. Twelve races will be held, six in the morning and six iu the afternoon. The first race will start at 10.20 a.m., and the last at 3.15 p.m. Cricket. The Wellington Cricket Association will commence its sixth series of grade championship matches this afternoon, when the following senior games will be started: —Kilbirnie. v. Varsity, Kilbiruie No. 1; Midland v. Old Boys, Basin Reserve No. 1; Institute v. Wellington, Basin Reserve No. 2; Karori v. Hutt, at Hutt. A match will be played to-day between combined clu'bs and W.O.C. on the Wellington College ground, play commencing at 9 a.m. A match will be played between the Hutt Valley Cricket Association and a Horowhenua representative eleven on Hutt Park this afternoon. Trafalgar Park will play N.Z.M.B. in a friendly match to-day. Owing to the Anniversary Day holiday, no games will be played by the Wellington Mercantile League this afternoon. Lawn Tennis.
