BLOOD STOCK SALE

Callisto Fetches SOOGns. WAGNER ANU CHAT SOLD The annual sale of brood mares and fillies, horses in training and untried stock wa s held at Trentham yesterday. There were also offered some yearlings that had been passed in on Wednesday. The auctioneer was Mr. Reg. Inglis, of Sydney, and a good clearance was made of most of the lots offered. Top price was 800gns. for Callisto, the sister to Gallio and halfsister to Te Hero. She was bought by .Mr. Martin Tims, of Te Awamutu. The Hunting Song colt out of Callisto was the one which Mr. W. lorns bought for 750 gns. A good price of 400gns. was got for Spionetta, an Irish-bred mare, dam of Night Spi, etc. Of the horses in training Wagner was bought for a Ricearton stable for 325gns. and Chat for 230gns. Amoroso fetched 200gns. Sunbeam, Round Score and First Chapter were passed in. , Darecourt, out of training, went for 60gns. Details: — On Account E. IV.
