OBITUARY

Mr. W. Malenoir The deatli has occurred at Waipuku--1 rau of Mr. Walter Malenoir, aged 73, a resident of Otane for many years, says a “Dominion’’ Special Service message. Mr. Malenoir, who retired several years ago, took a prominent part in local bodies and was a foundation member of the Central Hawke’s Bay Power Board and for a long period a member of the Otane Town Board. He was also unsold justice of ‘the peace. He is survived by a widow. Mr. R. W. Morton Mr. Robert William Morton, taiim, employed by Reardon and Wright, Hastings, 'died suddenly on Wednesday, says a “Dominion” Special Service message. Mr. Morton, who was 69, became ill while at work and was sent home. Before medical aid could be summoned, however, he collapsed and died. He- had resided for many years ar Hastings. His wife predeceased him some years ago. He leaves a daughter, who lives at Palmerston North.
