CONTEST WITH ROSS IS PLANNED
Chicago, January 18.
The manager of Barney Ross, Sam Plan; announced that he had received an offer from the Australian promoter Charles Lucas for Jack Carroll to fight Ross at Sydney on April 18 for 40,000 dollars, plus 5000 dollars expenses, with a deposit of 20,000 dollars to be sent to Chicago immediately. He, however, is demanding 45,000 dollars, plus 7000 dollars expenses.
