FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.
Fair To Fine, With Rising Temperatures. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day:— A shallow depression is passing away eastward and an anti-cyclone of moderate intensity is approaching across the Tasman Sea. A cyclonic disturbance is now located off the Queensland coast. . Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly winds, becoming variable and later tending northerly in the southern and eastern portions of the South Island. A considerable but decreasing southerly swell between Banks Peninsula and Last Cape; otherwise seas in New Zealand waters slight to moderate. Moderate easterly winds, later freshening, in the northern portion of the eastern Tasman Sea; light to moderate southerly winds, changing shortly to northerlies, in the southern portion; seas slight to moderate. A few isolated showers at first in eastern and faf southern districts, but otherwise weather fair to fine with rising temperatures.
