FALL OF EARTH
Two Labourers Injured Two labourers engaged on construction work ou the new Haywards-Pa-hautanui road were injured by a fall of earch which came 'down ou the toad yesterday morning. Both were taken lo the hospital by the Free Ambulance, Air. W. J. Butler, Stokes Valley, having slight concussion and abrasions to the left arm, head, and back, and Air. E. O. Jones, 7 Bloomfield Terrace, Lower Hutt, a crushed left thumb, abrasions to the back and head, and slight concussion. When he eaught his foot under a steel plate at the foundry of Murray and Forbes. Adelaide Road, yesterday, Air. J. Milligan, metal worker, 53/Cambridge Terrace, received a lacerated wound to the right foot., The Free Ambulance took him to hospital. Air. G. Wyeth, 'drainlayer, 206 Taranaki Street, received an incised wound near the left eye when he was struck by a pick. He was able to return home after receiving treatment by the Free Ambulance.
