“Life" was the subject of the lessonsermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. . , , The golden text was trom John i, 1,4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ... In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: "For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and hear witntw and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, ami was manifested unto us; That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us • and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (I John, i, 2,3). Also the following passages, trom the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures, ’ by Mary Baker Eddy, “God is divine life, and life is no more confined to the forms which reflect it than substance is in its shadow. If life were in mortal man or material things, it would be subject to their limitations and would end in death. Life is mind, the creator reflected in His creations” (p. 331).
