Opening Of Cup Meeting At Trentham To-day
REVIEW OF FORM AND PROSPECTS
Representative Fields; Going In
Excellent Order
(By The Watcher.)'
The Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting will open at Trentham to-day. Beautiful weather has recently been expenenced and the forecast remains good. In spite of the hot, summer the going, owing to the excellent arrangements for watering by means of the automatic sprinklers, will be in first-class order, and there will be an entire absence of bone in the grout • Fields are well up to the average in numbers and quality, with the exception of the open sprint, and even there the issue is difficult to followers of form. The usual clash of North a 1 Island form is presented. Betting will be on the win and place system. For readers of “The Dominion” the customary analysis o'f the form of each runner on the card is appended
