CAGED BIRD SHOW
Wellington Society’s Fixture The Wellington and Suburbs Canary and Cage Bird Society held its second young bird show on Saturday. There was a good benching of birds, the Yorkshire section being especially popular. Following are the results; — Yorkshire Sections. Class 1, clear yellow: G. Abel, 1; W. W. Waldock, 2; G. Abel, 3: Mr. Bailey, v.h.c. Class la, ticked to lightly var. yellow: G. Abel, 1; Mr. Saunders, 2; W. W. Wal,dock. 3. Class 2, clear buff: G. Abel, 1; G. Abel, 2; Mr. potton, 3. \ Class 2a, ticked to lightly var. buff: Mr. Potton, 1; Mr. Bailey, 2; Mr. Potton, 3; G. Abel, v.h.c. Class 3, heavily var. to self-yellow: Mr. Cunningham. 1; G. Abel, 1; Mr. Bailey, 3; W. W. Waldock. v.h.c. Class 4, heavllv var. to self-buff: G. Abel, 1; Mr. Cunningham, 2. Budgerigars. Mr. Whittaker, one first; Mrs. Cunningham, three seconds. Norwich CliisscH. Mr. Quinlivan, three firsts, one second; Mr. Matsoil, one first, one second; Mr. Froome, two firsts; Mr. Butler, one second. The Whittaker special award for the best Yorkshire was won l,y Mr. G. Abel’s dear yellow, class 1. and the runner-up was owned by the same exhibitor, a heavily variegated buff, class 1. Mr. fV, Matson won tile Newson Trophy for the best Norwich with a lightly variegated yellow, class la. A grey-wing green budgerigar, benched by Mr. Whittaker, won the cup for the best budgerigar.
