Centaurus Reaches Darwin
FLIGHT FROM ENGLAND Darwin, December 18. The Imperial Airways flying-boat Centaurus, which is to make a survey of possible bases for the air-mail service, has arrived. Captain Burgess said that there was nothing untoward and nothing thrilling during the flight from England.
Mr. Ivan Palmer, who sailed last year from New Zealand to Singapore with Mr. Dwight Long in the keteii Idle Hour, is accompanying the flying boat as press representative.
The Centaurus will arrive at Sydney next Friday and will leave for Auckland on the following Monday.
