Shorter Shirts In Germany

London, December 17.

The Berlin correspondent of ‘‘The Times” states that General Goering, Minister of Economy, signed au order reducing the length of shirts by two inches at tiie back and front. The textiles industry had previously been notified that a considerable amount of material could be saved by shortening men’s shirts, but failed to take the hint, so the garments are to be arbitrarily shortened.
